In Zhengzhou, Henan Province. The ancestors of Zheng's Shudai Hall moved from Pingyang County, Shanxi Province to Liugou in the north of Jingshan Mountain in Xuzhou in the early years of Hongwu. They were a branch of the Zheng Family in Weiyang. The hall's name was Shudai, and its roots were in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. Shudai Hall is also called Shudai Thatched Cottage and is one of the names of the Zheng Family Hall. The Zheng family library has a separate courtyard, where the Xuantan altar for lectures is located. The thatched cottage is also the main hall of the Xuantan altar, where the sages of the Zheng family sat and discussed scriptures.
