If you only have an electric stew pot, you can make fragrant pot or hot pot. I think this will not take too long and is nutritionally balanced.
Fragrant pot now has fragrant pot base in supermarkets, and hot pot also has hot pot base, so we basically just need to prepare some washed dishes. I still remember eating it in the dormitory when we were in college. We had hot pot many times, sometimes in one dormitory, sometimes in two dormitories. We put the chairs together, then put the pot on the chairs, and we sat in a circle on our own little stools.
We usually choose green vegetables, shiitake mushrooms, vermicelli, king oyster mushrooms, cauliflower, enoki mushrooms, spinach, bean curd skin, frozen tofu, Japanese tofu, potato slices, lotus root slices; the meat will be boiled mutton. Shabu-shabu beef, sprinkle with pickled beef balls, ham, fish balls, crab sticks, etc., and then choose a clear soup hot pot base. Because I don’t eat spicy food, if you want spicy food, you will mix it in your own bowl, and we will eat it while eating. Talking and waiting is quite interesting. I still remember the first time we ate, everyone had short hair and were sitting in thick cotton clothes. We were freshmen at that time and had just gotten to know each other, so we took a photo together, which is still stored in my computer.
Of course you can also make fragrant pot, but when we make fragrant pot, we basically bring the meat from home and fry it. My roommate once her parents came to visit her and brought a lot of pork. We ate pig head meat, pig ears, ribs, and pig tails for a day and couldn't finish them. The next day, we felt that we had eaten too much the day before, so we went to buy vegetables and fried them with the pork when we came back. It was also a fragrant pot. Well, it just lacks sesame seeds, but it tastes good.
In fact, one electric stew pot is enough in the dormitory. If two of them are burned together, something will happen. One time I was cooking porridge. Because it was placed under the chair and there was no movement, my roommate didn’t know, so she used the pot to cook. After cooking for a while, sparks suddenly appeared from her pot, and then our dormitory was shut down. The electricity went out, but fortunately it didn't cause too much trouble. I just went down and was told by my aunt, who asked an electrician to come and repair it. After that, we didn’t dare use two pots to cook anything at the same time.
