1. Habitat

Pelagic warm-water migratory species migrate seasonally in winter, migrate to colder waters in summer, and spawn and migrate in warmer waters in autumn for winter. Generally, it lives in the warm waters of 18℃-22℃, but it is also found to have good temperature resistance. Occasionally, it can be seen in cold water with water temperature of 5℃- 10℃, and the larvae mostly appear above 24℃. The range of activities is very wide, with a general depth of 200-600m, but some of them are deeper than 650m and the deepest can reach 800 m, which is abundant in the Kuroshio waters flowing through the eastern part of Taiwan Province Province.
