Ingredients: hawthorn 300g, sugar150g, white vinegar 5g, cold boiled water100g.
Steps:
1. All the ingredients in the ingredients are ready. Put the hawthorn in a bowl to clean the dust on the surface, then pour in proper amount of water and edible salt for soaking 15 ~ 20 minutes. The purpose of salt soaking is to remove 80% pesticide residues from hawthorn, but the soaking time should not be too short or more than 20 minutes, otherwise white bubbles will be produced.
2. Wash the soaked hawthorn with clear water again, then dry the surface moisture with kitchen paper, then remove the hawthorn pedicle by hand and put it in a bowl for later use.
3. Pour the purified water and 150g white sugar prepared in advance into the pot and cook the white sugar with a small torch until it melts. If there is no pure water, you can use white cold water instead.
4. Wait for the water to boil. At this time, the white sugar water began to bubble. Cook on low heat until the sugar water bubbles thick. Pour into the prepared white vinegar and stir well. Turn off the fire. Judging whether the white sugar is boiled well depends on whether the white sugar water has changed from large bubbles to dense small bubbles and whether the color of the white sugar water has changed from white to light yellow.
5. Pour the prepared hawthorn while it is hot, and stir it quickly with a spatula until the surface of hawthorn is covered with a thick layer of frost. After the stirred white vinegar is turned off, quickly pour the prepared hawthorn and stir it quickly while it is hot.
