Jiangbei dialect, namely Huai dialect (Jianghuai Mandarin), belongs to Mandarin dialect, formerly known as Xiajiang Mandarin, Xiajiang Dialect and Jianghuai Dialect, and is mainly distributed in the north of the Yangtze River in Jiangsu Province, the central part of Anhui Province and the areas along the Yangtze River. Yangzhou dialect is generally regarded as the representative language of Huai dialect. The population of Huai dialect is about 70 million.
