TV series "Pearl River Full of Love"
Historically, as early as the Qin Dynasty, many people in the Central Plains had moved to Guangdong to settle here, and they also brought the culture of the Central Plains. Therefore, in fact, Lingnan and the Central Plains have long had a cultural intersection.
When Bian Xiao and his friends visited the "Chen Family Temple" in Guangzhou, he really felt a completely different style from the last visit to the northern architecture. Bright blue, bright yellow and vermilion are the most commonly used colors, which are quite lively. The carved patterns are colorful and will not appear too serious.
Various sculptures and statues on the roof of Chenjiaci.
In the second season of National Treasure, Guangdong Museum also took out its own treasure of the town hall and gave it to bears (such as me) who think that Guangdong has no history, slapping them in the face ~
Guangzhou used to be the port of origin of the Maritime Silk Road, and the export wallpaper of Qingganlong Agricultural Trade Map recorded this history. Although the theme of each painting is different, it will form a complete picture of life about rice farming and tea trade in Guangzhou at that time.

But why is there a misunderstanding that Guangdong is a "cultural desert"? On the one hand, it may be because Hong Kong's "Cantonese culture" is too dazzling, but it masks Guangdong's own flavor.
Due to the unique mountainous, plain and complex topography of the sea, Guangdong culture can be roughly divided into three main components, namely Guangfu, Hakka and Chaoshan. To outsiders, it is obvious that Guangfu culture with Guangzhou as the core has the strongest influence.
The special history has made two famous local cultural centers outside Guangzhou in a small place.
One is the western-style Hong Kong culture formed by Hong Kong's long colonial history, which, together with Guangfu culture, is called "provincial port" and has a strong appeal in China mainland and even the world in the last century; The second is the unique Shenzhen culture promoted by the policy after the reform and opening up.
However, the achievements of Guangdong's internal culture, which people are proud of, seem to have done nothing externally. The decline of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's cultural influence seems to be a reality.
Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's cultural influence is gradually weakening for three main reasons:
First of all, the Bay Area, which is surrounded by mountains on three sides in the east, west and north of Guangdong, has a greater motive force to develop into the ocean and even become a foreign trade immigrant than to infiltrate into the mainland, making the exchange between Guangdong culture and mainland culture less. Besides, Cantonese is very difficult for China people who are used to Mandarin. Not to mention the mysterious Hakka dialect and Chaoshan dialect, Cantonese, which rules the Bay Area alone, has caused many people a headache.
This change reflects the third problem of the decline of cultural status in the Bay Area. The cultural status of a region is often closely related to its economic status. Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, once the richest man in China and the first to accept the western lifestyle, has certainly become the research object.
However, with the gradual advancement of reform and opening up, the gap between the economic development level of mainland cities and the Bay Area is getting smaller and smaller. In this context, the local pride of mainland cities will rise, while the influence of relatively incomprehensible Cantonese culture will naturally decline.
It is also for these reasons that when it comes to Guangdong, everyone's impression is that "Cantonese people dare to eat anything", but obviously, there are still many literary works, movies and songs in Guangdong!
