Fangcun District:
Fangcun District is the former jurisdiction of Guangzhou, located in the west of Guangzhou. It is adjacent to the Pearl River in the north and east, across the river from Shijing Town, Liwan District and Haizhu District in Baiyun District, adjacent to Foshan Waterway in the Pearl River, Dashi Town in Panyu District and Pingzhou Town in Nanhai District of Foshan City in the south, and adjacent to Yanbu and Huang Qi in Nanhai District in the west. By 2005, Fangcun District had nine streets under its jurisdiction: Huadi Street, Chongkou Street, Chajiao Street, Baihe East Street, Dongsha Street, Dong Jiao Street, Shiweitang Street, Hailong Street and Zhongnan Street.

1949165438+1October 15, Fangcun and Chongwen District offices were merged into Fangcun District.
1June, 954, Fangcun District was revoked. Chongkou, Shancun, Fangcun and Huadi belong to Henan District (now Haizhu District); Shayong, Hedong, Donglang, Xiyang, Nanjiao, Dong Jiao, Chajiao and Kwai Peng are included in the new suburbs (cancelled).
1April, 959, Longxi, Haibei, Haizhong, Hainan, Zengjiao and Xiushui, which were originally from Nanhai County, were transferred to Guangzhou and merged into Hedong Commune in Xinjiao District (revoked). At this point, all the areas under the jurisdiction of Fangcun were included in Guangzhou.
1960 On May 23rd, Fangcun People's Commune was established, and later changed to Fangcun District, which was under the jurisdiction of Guangzhou.
1May, 962, Fangcun District was revoked again, and Fangcun District was placed under the jurisdiction of Guangzhou Suburb (now Baiyun District).
1985, Fangcun District was established again.
