The first Meizhou Dongpo restaurant opened in Beijing on June 6th, 1996. On June 24, 2003, Beijing Meizhou Hotel Management Co., Ltd. was established with its main business scope of hotel management, catering service, food processing and sales. Its headquarters is located in Beijing, including logistics center and central kitchen.
Catering takes "Dongpo culture" as the core and "Dongpo gourmet culture" as the carrier, and develops a service complex integrating food, entertainment, leisure, shopping, tourism and commerce. A comprehensive commercial project of about120,000 square meters will be developed in Huanggang City, Hubei Province.

Meishan, called Meizhou in ancient times, is located in the southwest edge of Sichuan Basin, with a history of 1400 years. Meizhou is rich in products and talented people come forth in large numbers. Su Xun, Su Shi and Su Zhe, who are listed as the "Eight Masters of Tang and Song Dynasties", are all from Meizhou. Among them, Su Dongpo is a great writer and a great gourmet. Dongpo cuisine and elegant food style created by him are the precious heritage of China food culture, which is equally famous for his literary talent.
Mr. Wang Gang, the founder of Meizhou Dongpo Restaurant, has trained superb cooking skills after years of tempering and painstaking research, and has done a lot of research and innovation in inheriting Dongpo food culture, forming a set of Meizhou Dongpo Sichuan cuisine based on Dongpo culture.
