The selection of torchbearers for the Hangzhou Asian Games fully considered the universality of sources, the representativeness of characters and the fairness of selection, covering outstanding athletes, coaches and other sports workers, model of the times, loyal guards, moral models, model workers, "the most beautiful people" and other advanced representatives who have made outstanding contributions to the Hangzhou Asian Games.
The youngest torchbearer 14 years old, and the oldest is 84 years old. There are 732 female delegates, grassroots frontline delegates 12 19, advanced model figures 1069, 275 sports workers, and a certain number of representatives of ethnic minorities, compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and the disabled as torchbearers.
The torch includes badminton Olympic champion Chen Hewang, swimming Olympic champion Wang Shun and Ye, and table tennis Olympic champion Fan Zhendong.
Torch relay route
The torch relay route mainly revolves around the world cultural heritage West Lake in Hangzhou, starting from Jinyong Park Square, along Nanshan Road-Hubin Road-Huancheng West Road-Beishan Street-Xiling Bridge-Gushan Road, and finally coming to Pinghu Qiuyue, one of the ten scenic spots in the West Lake. The total length of the relay route is 5.2 kilometers, which can be said to be a very beautiful route around the West Lake.
The torch relay of the Asian Games follows the concept of green, wisdom, frugality and civilization, and the torch relay route planning pays attention to simplicity, scale and moderation. First of all, the preparation of the torch relay route conforms to the practice of international competitions, and also takes the torch relay route preparation as an important opportunity to show Zhejiang's development achievements.
