Hengshui University, located in Hengshui City, Hebei Province, is a full-time general institution of higher learning approved by the Ministry of Education.
The school, formerly known as Zhili Sixth Normal University, was founded in 1923. 1949 was transformed into Hebei Jixian normal school, 1960 moved to Hengshui and changed its name to Hebei Hengshui normal school. 1978 With the approval of the State Council, Hengshui Teachers College was established on the basis of Hengshui Teachers College.
