Xijiao Village was originally under the jurisdiction of Qiu Jiang Township, Shaxian County, and was under the jurisdiction of Fenggang Street after the merger of Zhexiang Township in September 2003. Most of the villagers come from Hakka towns such as Minnan, Youxi and Datian. In addition, during the period of 1969-1974, a large number of Fuzhou educated youth settled in line (about a hundred people, there was an educated youth building in the main village at that time, which was an important educated youth point in the county), with diverse languages (including Minnan, Fuzhou, Youxi, Datian and Shaxian) and mixed surnames.
