I don't know how many people, like me, wiped their tears secretly on the first night of school in the dormitory of four people, covered with quilts and smelling strange smells. It was the first time in my life that I left home thousands of miles away, slept with strangers for the first time, and missed the smell of home so much for the first time. Deep thoughts turn into endless tears, and accompany me to dream after dream in a foreign land in every dead of night.
In addition to the north and south campuses, my school also has a whole mountain as an experimental base. This is a super-large campus that everyone is eager to have, but on the way home countless times, I will think of the familiar town in the distance. It is not as bright as the bustling lights of Beishangguang, nor as long as the ancient town of Suzhou and Hangzhou, nor as a treasure house of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, but it is known as the "beauty of Gobi" with its unique charm. There are abundant oil resources, friendly citizens and endless beautiful scenery here.
? Walk with me in the street of my hometown until all the lights go out and don't stop. I thought of the city sanitation workers cleaning the city clean and tidy. You certainly don't know that the citizens here don't litter from the age of 80 to the age of three. I remember that the traffic facilities here were never crowded, and everything was safe and orderly. You certainly don't know that the air-conditioned buses here are free for primary and secondary school students and the elderly, no matter where you go; I remember I have been addicted to the delicious food here. The price is reasonable and the food is beyond words. You certainly don't know the melon and fruit barbecue, cold rice noodles, Nabing, saute spicy chicken and all kinds of mixed noodles here. Give me a few pages of A4 paper, and I can't finish reporting the names of the dishes. Of course, the most important thing is that it tastes so good that I can't find the right word to define it. These are my exclusive memories of my hometown.
Too many students shouted at the moment when they filled in their volunteers for the college entrance examination: I want to work hard in a big city and never want to go back to this small town again. However, a few people took root thousands of miles away as they wished, ignoring everything here, and finally chose to pack their bags and return to their hometown, as if only the air here could make us breathe freely and feel relaxed and happy.
For more than 20 years, I have almost traveled all over China and learned about the customs of various countries. Even though the outside world is wonderful, I am still eager to come back. I traveled thousands of miles just to say: they are not as good as you, my hometown, my only one.
