1. 2. Sowing: Turmeric is mainly propagated asexually by rhizomes, and seeds with dense branches and buds, plump rhizomes and vigorous growth are selected. When sowing, cut the selected roots into 2-3cm segments, each segment needs 1-2 buds.
3. Fertilizer and water management: Dioscorea zingiberensis needs to be fertilized and watered three times a year. At seedling stage, nitrogen-containing substances are mainly used to promote the rapid growth of plants. The second time is May-June, when plants are in the peak season and need a lot of water. The third time can be carried out in July, which can be combined with intertillage and soil cultivation.
