The first is the location of the press entrance. There are four common locations, namely: bottom label, floating button, top navigation and below top navigation.

1. bottom label

Located in the middle of the tab bar at the bottom of the page, it is displayed with rounded rectangular or round buttons, which is in sharp contrast with other tabs. Users can also use the publishing function quickly at other levels.

This style often appears in some software that has a strong demand for content distribution. The button is located in the thumb hotspot, which is convenient for users to publish content quickly, and the prominent button users can find it at a glance. As shown in the figure below:

Take Baidu Post Bar and Zhihu as examples. Both belong to social software, and users are very encouraged to publish content. Therefore, their release buttons are placed in the middle of the bottom tab bar, and the theme color forms a strong contrast with the buttons next to them, which is eye-catching and easy for users to click.

2. Pause button

Hover buttons usually appear independently in the lower right corner of the page and above the bottom tab bar. Unlike the bottom tab, the bottom tab can quickly jump to other levels of publishing pages, and floating buttons are usually used for specific pages. Its advantage is that it does not occupy the space of navigation up and down, is convenient and efficient, can expand more functions, and is more convenient for users to click. Take Keep and douban as examples. Their homepage uses hover buttons to let users post content, which is eye-catching and easy to click, and encourages users to post content. ?

3. Top navigation

The navigation bar at the top can be on the left or right, and is usually displayed as a plus sign or a camera icon.

I think there are two reasons for putting it in this position. First, its requirements are not that important, and there is no need to highlight it as the bottom label bar. Moreover, in some pages with hierarchical separation, the tab bar at the bottom will disappear, so the navigation bar at the top is the best choice. As shown in the figure below:

Take bean and fruit food and QQ space as examples. As a gourmet menu software, Douguo Gourmet definitely has more content viewers than content creators, so the publishing demand is not particularly great, so a publishing button is placed on the left side of the navigation bar at the top of the homepage.

The main function of QQ is to communicate in time. Space is a single level, and the tab at the bottom will disappear, so it is most suitable to put it in the navigation bar.

4. Navigation at the bottom and top

Located below the top navigation bar, it disappears when you slide the page up, but appears after you pull down the page, occupying more page space.

This style is not particularly common. Take Netease Cloud Music as an example. Its cloud village-dynamic page adopts this style, but it is puzzling that floating buttons are used in square pages.

Common icon styles

Icons are usually represented by plus sign, pencil, camera, icon+text and abnormity. The selection of icons is associated with a specific function.

1. plus sign

A plus sign means an increase in numbers in mathematics, so using a plus sign icon usually means expanding more functions. Take Baidu Post Bar and Zhihu as examples. They all refine the options to publish. As shown in the figure below:

Specific options will appear after clicking the plus sign. There are two common display styles: bottom pop-up window and bubble pop-up window. Take idle fish, what is worth buying and Weibo as examples.

Among them, Weibo used bubble pop-ups. Both idle fish and those worth buying adopt the bottom pop-up window style, and at the same time, use blank pages to add more functions, such as "Taobao monopoly, free delivery, scanning code to buy books" for idle fish, and add advertisements on the blank pages for those worth buying.
