Zhoucun, formerly in Yangwan Township, was called Zhoucun because it killed cattle, because local villagers made a living by killing cattle and buying and selling beef. After killing cattle, you generally don't need beef offal. Later, some villagers thought it was too wasteful, so they washed the beef offal beside the old stone bridge, chopped it up and threw it into the pot, added ginger, pepper and salt, and cooked it. Slowly, this delicious food spread. At first, stilt beef could only be regarded as the food of the lower class. The conditions in the restaurant are also very simple. There is only a square table, and there is no stool for guests to sit on. However, there is a crossbar under the table for guests to put their feet on. Therefore, this delicious dish is named stilt beef, because the guests sit and eat with their feet.
