About the General History of China, I remember that the eighth, ninth and tenth volumes are all about the history of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, as follows:
The eighth volume (The Fifth General History of China) is the first volume in the feudal period of Ming and Qing Dynasties. Cai Meibiao wrote it.
The ninth book (The Fifth General History of China) is the second book of Ming and Qing Dynasties. Li, Yang and Liu Dehong respectively prepared the first drafts of several chapters, and studied and sorted out the relevant materials.
Book 10 (The Fifth General History of China) is the third book in the feudal period of Ming and Qing Dynasties. Li and Liu Dehong wrote the first drafts of several programs; The sixth chapter was completed by Wang Jingyu independently; The seventh chapter, Confucian Classics and Academic Works, is written by Feng Erkang and calibrated by Cai Mei. The literature part was written by Feng Erkang; Two pieces of art were contributed by Comrade Luo Junyun from the Institute of Modern History; The Science and Technology Festival was contributed by Comrade Liu Hongtao of Nankai University; Cai Meibiao unified the style and revised the text in the book.
At the end of last year, The General History of China published the sequels of the post-Opium War: Volume 1 1 and Volume 12.
Volumes 11 and 12 (The Sixth General History of China) systematically describe the decline and demise of the Qing Dynasty, from the beginning of Daoguang's accession to the throne in 1820 to the end of Xuan Tong's abdication in 19 12. The eleventh volume, with 240,000 words, was written by Cai Meibiao, Jia Shucun, Mao Haijian and Liu Xiaomeng. Volume 12, with 290,000 words, was written by Cai Meibiao, Wang Jingyu, Yang Tianshi and Luo Junyun. The eleven volumes and twelve volumes still follow the style of the first ten volumes, that is, they are described in the order of dynasties, which does not mean the stages of social history. In these two volumes, based on historical facts, the author comprehensively narrates the process of foreign invasion, the gradual reduction of China into a semi-colony and the emergence and development of capitalist enterprises in China, the progress of peasant revolution and democratic revolution, and the decline and demise of the Qing Dynasty.
About the eighth, ninth and tenth volumes, you can buy them on the old books of Confucius on the Internet. Generally, bookstores sell ten volumes together, not retail.
You can buy volumes 11 and 12 on Dangdang and Joyo.
