I remember when I was a child, my family was very poor, so my mother would work actively in winter, washing piles of clothes for others, or making new big shirts for others to earn some money for the New Year.
Neither my sister nor I can be idle. She helps her mother wash clothes and do housework; I'm helping-pass the soldering iron, add fire, send hot water and cold water and so on. I am also responsible for feeding the dogs, sweeping the floor and perfuming the kitchen god. I must do this, so that my mother and sister can work more and increase their income, so that they can eat in jiaozi on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day!

Of course we are excited. First of all, the little money we spent on Chinese New Year was earned by our own labor, which was hard and correct. Whenever I report to my mother that the pawnshop Liu Jia slaughtered two big pigs, or that the money lender Sun Jia invited three "honey festivals" and other small towers, my mother always said: Our jiaozi food is meaty, but it is the best! At that time, I didn't quite understand why jiaozi with more food and less meat was the best. Today, when I think about it, I know that my mother's words are really thoughtful. Yes, firstly, our jiaozi is not made by pawnbrokers or loan sharks, and secondly, our jiaozi is hand-wrapped and cooked. How could it not be the best? Jiaozi in Sun's family must be oil and meat, which is very delicious, but our jiaozi will make our stomach and heart comfortable together.
Labor makes us poor people work hard and become confident. Looking back, in those dark years, how did our family survive one checkpoint after another and finally struggled to be liberated? Strange to say, recalling the past, especially childhood and adolescence, somehow feels particularly sweet. In fact, most of the things I encountered in my childhood and adolescence were neither sweet nor beautiful. I'm afraid it's because I'm young and simple, and I remember things very clearly at that time, so every time I think about it, I feel that it tastes very deep, sweet and beautiful. If so, we should be on guard: Do we like the past too much, so it is easy to be conservative? If you dwell on the past, you won't look at the progress of today, let alone the bright future of tomorrow. In the long run, you can't help but come to the conclusion that "today is not as good as before" and feel something. This is very dangerous! Conservative and backward talents are people who hinder social development!
However, we said from the beginning that labor is the most delicious. Yes, if I lived a hard life in my childhood and adolescence, I can't help but recall the sweetness as expected. The good habits I developed when I was a child will certainly continue until now. How can they not be beautiful? To this day, I still clean my house every day and don't let others interfere. This little job is no big deal, and it's not worth boasting about. But its function is not limited to keeping the house clean and tidy, and bottles and cans have a certain position. It also has some good effects on my writing life. I will clean the table and write something with a pen every day. Labor is different, but the intensity is the same.
