When you open the Word2003 window, you will first see the title screen of Word2003, and then enter the work window of Word. It mainly includes the following components: title bar, menu bar, toolbar, ruler, editing area, scroll bar, status bar, task pane and so on. The title bar is located at the top of the window. It is blue when activated and gray when it is not activated. The title bar contains control menu buttons, document name being edited, program name, minimize button, restore button and close button. Click the Maximize button at the right end of the title bar to maximize the window, or double-click the title bar to maximize the window. When the window is maximized, the Maximize button becomes the Restore button. Click this button to restore the window to its original size. If you click the Minimize button in the title bar, the window will be reduced to an icon and displayed in the taskbar. Click the icon to restore the size of the original window. Click the Close button in the title bar to exit the Word2003 window. Click the Control Menu button on the left side of the title bar to display the Word2003 control menu.
