Myanmar's bold and mysterious land (1)
Time went back to ten years ago, and a friend who worked as a zinc mine in Tengchong, Yunnan, took the border defense certificate handled by the local public security bureau to travel to North Myanmar. From the entry of Nansan Port in Zhenkang County, lincang, Yunnan Province, to the border of Myanmar, we felt great differences. The buildings in small counties in our country are all brand-new, and there are one or two tall buildings at a distance. The road connecting this country is a two-way six-lane road. What a magnificent building the gate of a country is, which reflects the strength and dignity of a country.

Entering Myanmar, it is a low and old customs building. On the high wall of the building, there are many pits the size of a thumb. Later, the locals said it was left over from the war. After entering the customs, the local customs officers wore the military uniforms of our country in the 1970s and 1980s, and stamped their border defense cards when they were opened. I was surprised that I didn't even look at the name and photos on it.

After completing the customs formalities in Myanmar, our friend told us to wait a moment, and the local government personnel came to pick us up at our destination. The words sound just fell and the trunk of a Toyota pickup truck was filled with people who were also wearing Myanmar customs clothes, but they were armed with live ammunition. And get off the bus quickly, line up in front of us, four on the left and four on the right, holding gun handles majestically. I have never seen this scene before, which immediately made me panic, helpless and urgent.

As soon as the car carrying the soldiers turned around, two Toyota land cruisers stopped in front of us, and two short and paunchy men got off the car, just like the locals we met in Yunnan. Friends went up to shake hands with them and exchanged pleasantries, from which they heard that they all spoke Mandarin, and several question marks kept popping up in their minds. When I came to my senses, my friend got on the first bus with them, and the three of us got on the back bus. The car full of soldiers came in front of us. It looked like a Hong Kong film and a movie with the theme of Jinshan Corner.

Along the way, I was amazed and wondered where this place came from. But the scenery outside the car interrupted my thoughts, and a magnificent stupa appeared in front of me, exactly like the stupa I went to Thailand. to be continued
