After Zhu Yuanzhang overthrew the Yuan Dynasty, the Great Ming Dynasty was established. The title of each dynasty is a well-thought-out title, but Zhu Yuanzhang had no choice but to use Daming as the title.
Perhaps many of us will think that he used the name Daming because of Zoroastrianism. However, if it is Zoroastrianism, it cannot leave him with no choice.
After the establishment of the Ming Dynasty, two schools appeared in the imperial court. These two factions control the civilian and military commanders respectively. At the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the country was not completely stable. Zhu Yuanzhang can neither offend the military faction headed by Li Shanchang nor despise the literati faction headed by Liu Bowen.
Most of Zhu Yuanzhang's military commanders are the Red Scarf Army. Influenced by Zoroastrianism, they have been fighting Zoroastrianism. Daming, the country name, promoted Zhu Yuanzhang to the position of King Daming, equivalent to the greatest leader of Zoroastrianism. Since they are the biggest leaders of Zoroastrianism, these military commanders will not have any opinions, and they will not allow Ming Wang to appear in other places.
Most of the civil servants in the Ming Dynasty were left over from the previous dynasty. For these people who respect Confucianism, Daming is the sun and the moon, and it is the most orthodox. So these civil servants are also happy to know the name Daming.
For the civil servants and military commanders after Daming, although they have different understandings of the meaning of the title Daming, they all support this title. No other country name can satisfy the hearts of both civil servants and military commanders. So Zhu Yuanzhang had to use the name Daming.
