This little story touched me deeply. The wisdom it contains shines on me like a lighted lantern, just like a blind man walking in the dark. Giving others light means giving yourself light, and being kind to others means accumulating happiness with yourself. Mencius said, "Poverty helps the world." Most ordinary people have no ability to help the world and lack the wisdom of saints, but they can still "help themselves" with wisdom with lanterns in their hands and follow passers-by in the dark.
Everyone has the experience of walking in the dark. When blinded by worldly troubles, they light a heart lamp for themselves and give themselves confidence, courage, strength and light. The darkness I can't walk out of is not because I am blind, but because I am blind.
