New Year's Day is a traditional way for people in western Guangdong to celebrate the New Year. It is popular in Jianjiang, Luojiang and Leizhou Peninsula in western Guangdong, mainly in Maoming and Zhanjiang, with strong regional characteristics. The chronological examples are mainly popular in Gaozhou, Huazhou, Dianbai, Maonan, Wuchuan, Xinyi, Suixi, Lianjiang, Chikan, Xiashan, Potou, Mazhang, Leizhou, Xuwen and Guangxi Beiliu.
From the second day of the first month to the end of February, each village has its own calendar day with different dates, which are concentrated during the Spring Festival. Generally, the time of a year is one day, and some are one to three days. And the year after New Year's Day, after the third month of the lunar calendar, is called "the year of returning to autumn".
The origin of chronology
The annual example sprouted from the ancient sacrifices in Lingnan. Chronological culture has a long history, and there are many records in history. After nearly two thousand years' changes, we can still feel the charm of ancient Nuo in Huazhou's "Flower Jumping Shed", Leizhou's "Walking General", Xuwen's "Luobu Opera" and Wuchuan's "Dancing with Two Truths".
The year 2008 was originally a sacrificial ceremony, an expanded Lantern Festival, Spring Festival and temple fair, including the anniversary of ancestors' migration and settlement. There is a complete set of procedures in the chronology, which attaches importance to sacrificial ceremonies. Entering the 2 1 century, with the improvement of people's living standards, we have inherited the excellent Chinese traditional culture, spread the spirit of "kindness culture" and carried forward the theme of national unity, harmony and unity.
