Speaking of Liu Yifan in the chef world, he is very famous. He is a three-star Michelin chef and has quite good looks. When you look at him, you wouldn’t say he is a chef. You would think he is a star.
Liu Yifan, born in Taiwan, China, graduated from Cornell University and was the former executive chef of the Fairmont Peace Hotel. In 2003, he was invited to work at The Savoy, Fairmont's century-old hotel in London, becoming the first Chinese manager in the hotel's century-old history. In 2007, he was appointed as the head chef of the French restaurant of Hotel Taiji in India. The following year, he was appointed as the head chef of a six-star hotel in Dubai. In 2010, he served as executive chef of Fairmont Peace Hotel.
From 2012 to 2014, he was on "Top Chef" and "Star Chef". Liu Yifan is a very good Western chef, undoubtedly at the elite level. It is not difficult to see from his resume and awards. Working alone in the Western food industry, Liu Yifan spent twenty-five years conquering celebrities such as the Queen of England, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Michael Jackson, and David Beckham, and became the head chef competing for Michelin restaurants and five-star hotels. He told the world on his own that besides being able to make Mapo Tofu in Chinatown, Chinese chefs can also make Western food.
Only six months later, his restaurant was named the best restaurant of the year in Dubai. 104 chefs are convinced. Liu Yifan said that he is very restless and loves to toss around. He likes to travel around the world and has worked as a chef in different restaurants in different countries. Because he wants to explore and convey taste, he hopes that more Chinese food will be introduced to the world. No matter how many serious bodyguards were standing in the kitchen, or how many cameras were filming at the same time while cooking on the show, Liu Yifan couldn't feel it at all. Because the moment he put on the chef's robe, he said: I am the standard.
