Sun Li 19 13 was born in Anping County, Hebei Province, and worked as a primary school teacher after graduating from middle school. 1938 participated in the people's anti-Japanese struggle in central Hebei, 1942 joined China. He used to be a teacher of Jizhong Anti-Japanese War College, North China United University and Yan 'an Lu Xun Art College, and an editor of Jinchaji News Agency, Jinchaji Daily and Jinchaji Border Region Federation. After 1949, he worked in Tianjin Daily, served as deputy section chief, editorial board member and consultant of Supplement Section, and presided over the editing of literary supplement of Tianjin Daily for a long time. He was honorary vice chairman and former consultant of Chinese Writers Association, honorary member and former member of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, honorary chairman and former chairman of Tianjin Writers Association, and honorary chairman of Tianjin Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

Sun Li has been writing all his life. 1927 started literary creation, 1945 published the famous short story Lotus Lake in Yan 'an Liberation Daily. Since he was engaged in literary creation for 75 years, he has written the novel Biography of Fengyun, a collection of novels and essays, a novella, a prequel to Tiemu, a village song, a collection of literary comments, and so on. In addition, the Collected Works of Sun Li is in the process of eight volumes, including Late China Collection, Lu Xiu Collection and Huan Collection. Sun Li is one of the representative writers of literature and art in China Liberated Area. With many classic works, he described the magnificent and fresh literati paintings of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation. After the liberation of the whole country, Sun Li's literary creation continued to make great progress, becoming a famous novelist and essayist in the history of new China literature, and being known as the founder of the famous literary school "Lotus Dian School". In the new period of reform and opening up, Sun Li's literary creation reached the second peak. His works have a wide influence at home and abroad with their profound thoughts, innovative styles, distinctive artistic styles and perfection.
