Enamel color is an over-glaze color decoration technique that transplants enamel painting technique to porcelain tire. Officially, it is called "porcelain tire painting enamel color", later it is called "Guyuexuan", and abroad it is called "rose color". Enamel was founded in the late Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty. It was created by introducing foreign enamel materials and became a very precious royal porcelain in one fell swoop.

The production technology of enamel porcelain is different from other court porcelain. First, white porcelain is fired at a high temperature in Jingdezhen, then sent to the office of the Qing Palace in Beijing for painting, and then the enamel is fired in a color furnace. Kangxi enamel porcelain uses imported pigments, especially a rose or carmine pigment, which has a unique delicate effect because it contains a small amount of gold. In addition, the pigments of China traditional colored porcelain are mixed with water or glue, while enamel colored porcelain, like western oil paintings, is mixed with oil and has a certain thickness, which makes the painting more stereoscopic and layered.
