Preparation tools:
Detergent, steel ball, edible oil
Specific practices:
1. I just bought a cast iron pot these two days. Today, I will share with you the opening and maintenance methods of cast iron pots. When using the pot for the first time, be sure to clean it first, pour some water into the pot, add some detergent to the water, brush it with steel balls once, and then rinse it twice.
Then set fire to the pot and dry the water inside. When the pan is dry, turn to low heat, pour some oil into the pan, and keep rubbing it with oil-absorbing paper so that every place in the pan is evenly oiled. The oil coated on the hot pot will undergo oxidation reaction when it comes into contact with air, and a protective film will be formed in the pot, which can isolate the corrosion of air and water, so that the pot will not rust, and the oil-absorbing paper will be rubbed continuously while burning lightly.
3. After the oil in the pot is sucked up, continue to pour the oil and keep rubbing it like this. I oiled the pot five times like this and rubbed it back and forth for about ten minutes.
Now try the pot, beat an egg into the pot and fry an egg. At this time, the pan is basically not sticky.
5. Let the pot cool down, wash it with clear water again, dry it with a small torch, and then evenly spread a layer of cooking oil on the pot to turn off the fire, so that the first boiling is completed. After each use, clean and dry the pan and coat it with oil. If you raise the pot for several months, it will become a permanent non-stick pot. Friends you like can try it at home.
