When cooking seven dishes, prepare a three-sacrifice dish, such as pork, rooster, fish and wine. There are five-flavored bowls or twelve-flavored bowls when paying homage to the deceased, such as rice, rice noodles, dried spring (symbolizing surplus), leeks (everlasting), dried bean curd (being a high official), celery (industrious), fish balls, meatballs (a champion in middle school, a member of parliament), sliced meat, vegetable heads (good color heads), pig intestines (giving birth to boys) and chicken wings. Like other fruits, it is red and round, hairy (symbolizing the reunion and prosperity of children and grandchildren) and Miantou Mountain (also known as Ershan or Daughter Mountain).
