Huai Nan Zi has a unique style, that is, Bian He's "harmony". Or cloud: After Nu Wa's family, the deceased woman's surname was Guo, and the Ming public security surname was Guo. Well, both Ci Hai and Xian Han are pronounced with ancient sounds, which are simplified to "hmm"; The new edition of "A Thousand Family Names" has a phonetic notation of "G", and the characters are not simplified, so it is taken from the new edition of "A Thousand Family Names".

Origin and origin

Regarding the origin of the surname "Ai", the writings on surnames in past dynasties are very vague. According to the information analysis and research I have, there are roughly three possibilities:

(1) the descendants of nuwa's surname is nuwa. Wa nationality should be the most powerful and prominent tribe in the ancient matriarchal clan period. Later, it gradually evolved into many tribes, large and small, and became the origin of all ethnic groups in China, including Huangdi tribe in the north, Chiyou tribe in the patriarchal clan period and Yan Di tribe in the south (later called "the third ancestor of Chinese humanities"). Therefore, there is a legend that Nu Wa was unearthed, that is, in the process of clan development and differentiation, there was always a clan tribe that kept the surname "Wan" until Wan's daughter was next to it. This is the same as the formation of Jiang's surname, Ji's surname, Won's surname and Xuanyuan's surname, and it is as rare as Yan's surname. Jiang, Ji and wang xing all have female surnames, leaving obvious traces of matrilineal clan society, while Xuanyuan is a paternal clan, taking the name of Xuanyuan Huangdi as the tribal name until it developed into a surname.

(2) descendants of the country. In the Western Regions around the Han Dynasty, there was a small country called Guo Jian. Lettuce used to be called "one thousand cattails" now, but the Han Dynasty spent a lot of money to buy seeds from Guo Jian and plant them in the Central Plains. In Qing Yi Qing, Tao Gui of Song Dynasty said: "When the state envoy came to Han, the Sui people had to grow vegetables with rich salaries, so they were famous for their golden dishes." Golden cabbage is now lettuce, because at that time, in order to introduce this new variety, I did not hesitate to spend 1000 yuan, so I got this reputation. Ge Hong's "Elbow Queen" in Jin Dynasty has been called lettuce, which shows that it was officially included in the menu in Wei and Jin Dynasties. Therefore, lettuce was introduced into the Central Plains from Sui Dynasty before Jin Dynasty. Although the specific location and duration of the founding of the People's Republic of China have yet to be verified, the existence of the country provides an important clue to the origin of the country's surname.

(3) The discoverer of He Shibi. The famous "He Shibi" in the Warring States Period is called "Sui Shibi" in Huainanzi, which shows that "Sui" was formed as a surname in the Warring States Period. However, some surname books list "I" as "He" (two sounds, the same as "He") as another surname, which is obviously influenced by "He's ratio".

However, the origins of the above three surnames are not in conflict, and they may achieve the same goal through different routes, that is, the Sui State may have developed from the Nuwa tribe, and the discoverer of Heshibi was a China or a descendant of Sui. According to research, there were more than 3,000 countries in China in the early Shang Dynasty, and more than 1000 countries in the early Zhou Dynasty. In the Spring and Autumn Period, there were only 100 countries, and there were only a handful of Seven Heroes in the Warring States Period. So Qi may be a small country in the long pre-Qin period. However, due to the long history and vague folklore, the origin of surnames needs further research.

History and distribution: Southern Tang Dynasty (once the secretariat of Zhangzhou), Song Dynasty and Ming Dynasty.

At present, the most concentrated areas of surnames are in Dongting Lake basin, which are specifically distributed in public security, Shishou and Jianli in Hubei and Huarong, Anxiang and Linli in Hunan. During the turmoil of the Yuan Dynasty, a man named Cai Fa moved here from other places to settle down. After hundreds of years' development, the descendants of the vegetable prize are quite prominent in the Ming Dynasty public security and other places. At that time, the representative of China's school of spiritual literature, Gong 'an Sanyuan, wrote a poem "Family String" for the Sui family, which is still found in Sanyuan's anthology. At present, there are about 20,000 to 30,000 people living in Dongting Lake Basin.

There is a place name in Shaoyang, Hunan Province, a place name in Xinji Town, Liuhe County, Nanjing, a place name in Lu Jie and Zhongjie, a big village in changping town Bridge, and a place name in Diaoguan Town, Shishou, Hubei Province, Jiatai ... These places are or used to be places where clans live.

The descendants of this surname are mainly distributed in Hubei and Hunan, and more in Sichuan and Jiangsu. The word used in the ranking of surnames in Dongting Lake Basin is: "My family is in Thailand, and I have been promoted step by step. I have benefited a lot from being a teacher in Henan, and I have gained a lot from revisiting it."
