Huangwan lotus root is a kind of lotus root produced in Huangwan Village, Wangchang Town, Qianjiang City. The difference between this kind of lotus root and common lotus root is that its holes are singular, ranging from 7, 9, 1 1. Unlike other lotus root knots, which are short and multi-branched, they are generally three knots, each one foot long, white and tender. This lotus root powder is perishable and the soup is delicious. In a "Jingzhou cookbook" published in the 1980s, it ranked first.

According to legend, when Emperor Qianlong went down to the south of the Yangtze River to eat lotus roots in Huangwan, he wrote a poem from his mouth: "A bent west arm is better than a dead heart." Compare the shape of lotus root to the arm of a beautiful woman, and compare Qikong to the "loyalty" of Bigan. Huangwan lotus root is endowed with human aura.

Many foreigners tried to introduce lotus root in Huangwan, but failed. In order to protect this precious local product from deterioration, Huangwan people have taken various environmental protection measures to prevent the lotus pond from being polluted.
