Wudaoying Hutong was called "Wudeying" in the Ming Dynasty, which was named after the garrison and has a long history.
Today, it has become the second Nanluoguxiang, the new favorite of literary and art people. Compared with Nanluoguxiang, Dai Yan Xiejie and Shichahai, Wudaoying Hutong is quieter and lazier.
There are many interesting and emotional restaurants, cafes and small shops in the hutong. The appearance of vegetarian restaurants is itself a landscape.
Baozi and cake shops are famous for their cat stars. Handmade DIY shops, many people concentrate on making their own works.
This is a family photo. When I went there, I only saw two soldiers asleep at the window and buried the necromancer.
The appearance of Engel era is very unique.
Take a picture in a special shop, too.
When the sun goes down, pigeons fly freely. Wudaoying Hutong came to the end of the Hutong, and the house numbers 1 and 2 appeared. Then you come to Yonghe Palace Street, turn right not far ahead and you will arrive at imperial academy.
Although the archway at both ends of the street is named "Chengxian Street", it cannot be circulated as an official place name. Most people don't know that Chengxian Street is imperial academy. It is named after Confucius Temple and imperial academy. Nowadays, Guozijian Street is one of the few ancient streets in Beijing, with towering archways and ancient pagodas on both sides, large and small houses and temples, antique, quiet and full of the charm of the ancient city.
Guozijian Street is the only street with archway in Beijing. There are four archways in the street, one in the east and one in the west, titled "Chengxian Street", and one in the left and right near imperial academy, titled "imperial academy". Guozijian Street also has the Han Wengong Temple dedicated to Han Yu, a great writer in the Tang Dynasty, the Fire Temple built in the Ming Dynasty and the Kitchen God Temple dedicated to the Kitchen God.
On the street of imperial academy, there is a stone tablet that worships Confucius. In ancient times, people admired Confucius' great contribution, so when they studied in imperial academy and became famous in the future, they would ride horses to pay homage. When they arrived at the gate of Confucius Temple, they had to dismount to show their respect for Confucius!
"Dismounting Stone" in Guozijian Street: "The civilian gets off the sedan chair and the military attache gets off the horse."
Imperial academy (Confucius Temple) is the highest institution of higher learning and the highest educational administrative institution established in Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, also known as "Imperial College" and "Chinese Studies". It was built from the Yuan Dynasty to the 24th year of Yuan Dynasty (AD 1287). In the Ming Dynasty, a large-scale renovation and expansion was carried out in Yongle. In the forty-eight years of Qing Qianlong, a group of royal buildings named "Biyong" was added, forming the current regulations. Imperial academy has etiquette, music, law, archery, imperial examination education, calligraphy, mathematics and other teaching subjects. At that time, if people could go to school in imperial academy, they would be proud of their ancestors. Chief imperial academy called it a drink offering, and Xu Heng, a famous scholar in Yuan Dynasty, was here. The cypress he planted has survived for centuries.
Speaking of Beijing's urban landscape, hutong is an indispensable sight. Quietly appreciate Beijing flavor, learn about ancient folk customs and visit historical footprints. Go shopping, sweep the shop and take photos; Thinking, aftertaste and enlightenment are almost all right.
I like a passage in Wang Chen's The farthest journey is from my body to my mind: Being able to walk is the best thing in the world. You can go anywhere and see all kinds of scenery. I feel a little annoyed and my stomach is a little uncomfortable. I walked for ten or twenty minutes, and then I gradually threw it away. Going further down, we arrive at another place, and even the beautiful scenery comes into view one by one. Travel. That is, walking. Go on, go on, go on.
Let us touch the unknown with curiosity and heart. Let's broaden our horizons, enlarge our inner world, drive our souls, realize life and practice.
