Management technology of Illicium verum planting
Illicium verum, also known as Illicium verum, anise, etc., belongs to Illicium of Illicium. Fruit is a famous flavoring and also used for medicine. Pericarp, seeds and leaves all contain aromatic oil, which is an important raw material for making cosmetics, sweet wine, beer and food industry. Now it is mainly distributed in Fujian, Guangxi and other places. Due to the continuous development of the value of Illicium verum, there are more and more farmers planting seedlings. So how to plant and manage Illicium verum seedlings?

1, land selection and soil preparation

Illicium verum should be planted in hilly or mountainous areas with high altitude, warm shelter from the wind, convenient irrigation, short light and no freezing injury. Illicium verum seedlings are most afraid of strong light when they first come out, so they should be planted in plots with shading objects. Illicium verum branches are fragile. After the plots are selected, they should be sorted in advance, and the surrounding weeds should be cleaned up before sowing, and then planting should be started.

2. Sowing time

Generally speaking, Illicium verum is suitable for sowing between 1 February and the following year1month. However, in areas with cold and frost in spring, the sowing date can be postponed appropriately, and the germination can be accelerated after the freezing period in February and March and the temperature is stable above 12-15 degrees.

3. Sowing method

In the management of Illicium verum seedbed, the border can be made according to the ratio of 1 meter width and15-20cm height, and the strip sowing can be carried out according to the method of 3-4cm depth, row spacing15-20cm and plant spacing of 2-3cm, and the sowing dosage per mu is about 7kg. After the seeds are sown evenly, sprinkle a thin layer of 1 .5-2cm thick with plant ash (it is better to mix it with plant ash), and then spray1time for moisture retention.

4. Post-seedling management

After the seeds of Illicium verum germinate and emerge, the straw and other mulch covering the seedbed should be removed in time, and a shade shed (about 70 cm in the south and 100 cm in the north) should be built according to the north-south direction, and the light transmission of the shed should be about 30-40%, otherwise the exposed Illicium verum seedlings will wither or burn due to long-term direct sunlight.

In addition, after the germination of Illicium verum, attention should be paid to keeping the bed border moist all the time to prevent the seedlings from dehydration and withering. Generally, there is no need to water the seedbed too often at seedling stage, as long as the seedbed is not dry. If the seedbed is short of water and drought, it can be watered with small water in the morning or evening to keep the surface of the border moist, or it can be watered with urea water.

In the process of seedling growth, according to soil moisture and seedling potential, topdressing 1 sub-thin fertilizer, topdressing, cake fertilizer or quick-acting nitrogen fertilizer can be applied respectively when the seedling height is 3-5cm and10-15cm to promote seedling growth. At the same time, we should pay attention to regular shallow tillage weeding at seedling stage.
