Where does the king crab come from?
Distribution of King Crab: The cold water area of the North Pacific Ocean, from the Sea of Japan and the Sea of Okhotsk to the Bering Sea. Mainly distributed on both sides of the North Pacific Ocean from Alaska to kamchatka peninsula. American king crab is only produced in Alaska, so it is also called Alaska king crab.

King crabs breed fast, and each female crab can produce nearly 10 thousand surviving crabs a year. Usually spawn in shoals about 350 meters away from April to June every year.

King crabs mostly live in the mud of shoals and inhabit the Barents Sea and its southern waters. The life span is about 30 years and the fertile period is 4 years.
