The clinical treatment of hepatitis B is basically an anti-hepatitis B virus treatment. There are currently two major types of treatments: 1. Oral nucleoside analog therapy; 2. Injectable interferon therapy.

There are six types of oral nucleoside analogue drugs: lamivudine, adefovir dipivoxil, entecavir, telbivudine, tenofovir, and tenofovir alafenamide. Due to the influence of sex and price factors, entecavir is the most widely used treatment for hepatitis B patients. With the launch of tenofovir alafenamide, it has been favored for its high antiviral efficacy, few side effects, low incidence of liver cancer, and zero drug resistance to date. Injectable interferon therapy is divided into ordinary interferon and pegylated interferon. Ordinary interferon is gradually being eliminated due to low efficacy and many side effects. Although pegylated interferon has many side effects, it is still widely adopted due to its short treatment course and high negative conversion rate.
