Most of our daily staple foods, except for vegetables and fruits, are acidic. For example, fish, meat and eggs, white rice and flour, and whole grains and legumes (but their acid-forming strength is weaker than that of refined grains) are acidic foods, as follows:
1. Protein food groups, such as livestock, poultry, eggs, fish, shellfish, cheese, peanut butter, and peanuts;
2. High-fat food groups, such as bacon, walnuts, sesame seeds, and salad dressings;
3. High-carbohydrate groups, including Corn bran, oats, macaroni, rice bran, rye, wheat;
4. All sweets, especially jams, jellies, syrups, candies, ice cream, beverages (beverages are extremely acidic and eat away at teeth very quickly), chocolates, and canned fruits made with white sugar, refined sugar, and refined salt.
