Brief introduction of Ningbo Institute of Finance and Economics:
Ningbo University of Finance and Economics, located in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, is a full-time private undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. It is the first batch of application-oriented undergraduate construction pilot demonstration colleges in Zhejiang Province and a member of the New Business Education Alliance in the Yangtze River Delta. The school was founded in 200 1 year, formerly known as Ningbo Dahongying Vocational and Technical College. In 2008, it was upgraded and renamed as Ningbo Dahongying College. On October 30th, 20 181/kloc-0, Ningbo Dahongying College was renamed as Ningbo Institute of Finance and Economics.
As of June, 2022, the school has three campuses, including the headquarters campus, Hangzhou Bay campus and Xiangshan campus, covering an area of 1700 mu and a building area of 780,000 square meters. It has 13 teaching units, 42 undergraduate majors and 5 higher vocational majors, with more than 1,000 teaching staff and nearly 20,000 full-time students.
There are 8 entity secondary colleges in the school, including four colleges of economics and management, namely, College of International Economics and Trade, College of Finance and Information, College of Business Administration and College of Wealth Management. The majors of these four colleges are in Hangzhou Bay Campus for the first two years and in the headquarters campus for the second two years.
Another engineering school is Digital Technology and Engineering College, the liberal arts school is Humanities College, and the design-oriented art and design college. The majors of these three colleges are in Hangzhou Bay Campus for the first year and in the headquarters campus for the next three years. The majors of Xiangshan Film and Television College are basically in Xiangshan Campus. The first semester of communication and planning, photography and camera art, and radio, film and television program production are in the headquarters, and then they return to Xiangshan Campus to study.
The school focuses on economics and management, and has formed a discipline pattern of coordinated development of economics, management, engineering, literature and art. In 2023, there are 42 undergraduate enrollment majors and 7 specialist enrollment majors, with a planned enrollment of 6,300 students, and the enrollment scale is in the forefront of universities in the province. At present, there are about 22,000 full-time students in the school, including nearly 20,000 undergraduates and more than 2,000 junior college students.
