Some mammals, like lions and horses, have longer hairs on the dorsal side of the neck that are different from the rest of the body. This hair is called a mane.
You said the dog mane, this, the average dog does not have that kind of mane.
But in the genus Iguana, hyenas from Africa and India, both females and males have them on their backs from the neck right up to the trunk.
(It's the long hair that starts at the neck and goes all the way to the trunk that is dorsal.) The red part is drawn in the picture below!
