The processing flow of honeysuckle tea
Summer is the picking period for honeysuckle. When the flowers first bloom, they are pure white, turn yellow the next day, and the aroma gradually disappears. Therefore, it is best to pick on the day of flowering. good. Next, I will share with you the processing process of honeysuckle tea, come and take a look!
Preparation of main ingredients
Honeysuckle tea is made from refined green tea embryos. The main ingredient, the dosage is about 90%. Fresh tea leaves with one bud and two leaves or one bud and three leaves are picked as raw materials, and the tea embryo is made according to the green tea production process of "high temperature greening, rapid rubbing, and complete baking".
It is required that the tea sticks are tightly knotted, the leaves are young, the moisture content does not exceed 4% (the leaves are turned into powder by hand, and the stems are broken by hand), and the old leaves, tea stems and debris are removed, and the tea powder is sifted .
Flower picking
May to July is the honeysuckle harvesting period. During this period, when the flower buds change from green to white, the upper part is swollen, and the lower part is cyan, it is ready for harvest. If there are flowers that have already opened, they should also be harvested together.
Within a day, the flowers should be picked before 9 a.m. when the dew is still wet and will not damage the immature flower buds. Moreover, the flowers have the strongest aroma and it is easy to maintain the original color. Pick from the base of the inflorescence according to the standards for picking fresh buds, and pick with care.
Tea embryo absorbs aroma
Prepare ingredients at a ratio of 5-6kg of fresh honeysuckle for every 10kg of tea embryo. Depending on the number of flowers, put them evenly into several mesh bags (sewn with nylon screen cloth) and spread them flat.
Put the tea embryos and flower bags in separate layers in a clean wooden box. Put one layer of tea and one bag of flowers, then put another layer of tea. Seal the container tightly to allow the tea to absorb the aroma.
After 2-3 hours, take out the flower bag from the container, take out the tea embryo and mix well, then place the tea embryo and flower bag in the container for secondary aroma absorption, then take out the tea and flower bag.
Preparation of scented tea
After the tea leaves absorb the fragrance, take out the honeysuckle and expose it to the sun. When the honeysuckle can be turned into powder by hand, mix it with the scented tea leaves at a ratio of 1:10 The proportions are mixed evenly, and finally the finished product is weighed and packaged.
Honeysuckle must be dried in the sun and should not be dried, otherwise it will be difficult to maintain its original color. ;
