1. Planting time
Dianthus should be planted in spring or autumn. If you have time in autumn, it is more recommended to sow in autumn. Because fall is one of the best times for seeds to germinate. It is best not to sow in winter because the temperature is very low at this time and it is difficult for the seeds to germinate. It barely sprouts in time, and the environment with too low temperature is not suitable for the growth of young plants.
2. Planting method
1. Prepare the soil: When planting dianthus, you need to use slightly alkaline, soft and breathable soil. Before planting, they should be laid out in the sun to be sterilized.
2. Prepare seeds: When planting it, use healthy and undamaged seeds. Before planting, the seeds need to be screened to remove shriveled and bug-eyed seeds.
3. Sowing: Prepare a flower pot with good air permeability and put the sun-dried soil into the flower pot. Then, spread the seeds evenly on the soil surface in the pot and cover them with a thin layer of soil.
4. Later maintenance: After sowing, you need to put it in a warm place. It is best to keep the temperature between 21-22°C, which is the optimal temperature for their germination. Before germination, water needs to be sprayed into the soil regularly to ensure that there is a certain amount of moisture in the soil. This is also needed for seeds to germinate.
