Bamboo rat (scientific name: Rhizomyidae) is an animal belonging to the genus Bambusoideae. Feed on bamboo, Miscanthus, plant stalks, etc. Named after eating bamboo. This is a very precious wild species. There are 3 genera and 6 species in the world: 2 species of Bambusa from Africa (endemic to East Africa), 3 species of Bambusa 1 species (endemic to Asia, found in south-central China, such as Chenzhou, Hunan Province), and 3 species of Bambusa 1 genus in China. Habitat in tropical and subtropical forests, shrubs and bamboo forests in eastern Africa and southern Asia. It is big and fleshy, delicious, nutritious, thick and soft, and has high economic and medicinal value.
