Dayan Town, also known as Dayan Town, is located in the middle of Lijiang Dam. It was founded in the late Song Dynasty and early Yuan Dynasty (A.D.13rd century) and is located in Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, with an area of 7.279 square kilometers.
Old Town of Lijiang's climate is influenced by Gao Yuanfeng in South Asia, with obvious vertical distribution, distinct wet and dry seasons and little temperature change. Although located in the plateau, snow-capped mountains are seen all year round, but the rainfall is abundant and the dry and wet seasons are distinct, belonging to the southwest monsoon climate.
Lijiang Dam, where Old Town of Lijiang is located, has an annual sunshine duration of 2,530 hours and sufficient light energy. The annual solar radiation is 146.5 kcal per square centimeter, which is the highest value area in Yunnan Province.
Architectural layout:
Old Town of Lijiang, from the overall layout of the city to the engineering and architecture, integrates the essence of Han, Bai, Yi, Tibetan and Naxi nationalities.
Old Town of Lijiang has not been influenced by the replication of the Central Plains, where Fang Jiuli, Bian Sanmen, Junior High School Jiujing Jiuwei and Jingtu Jiugui are located. There is no road network in the city, and there is no strict wall. In the layout of the ancient city, three mountains are the screen and one river is connected. The water system uses three rivers to cross the city and every family flows.
The layout of the streets and the setting of the meridians have the style of being curved, secluded, narrow and expressive. The pattern of Old Town of Lijiang is spontaneously formed, with northwest facing southeast.
