First, raise geese to prevent snakes
Anyone who has raised geese knows that geese are very good at housekeeping, especially lions. In the eyes of the lion-headed goose, not to mention snakes, even people will attack. If there are many domestic poultry, many owners will keep a few geese as security guards, and ordinary owls, snakes and other animals are afraid to go near the farm.
Second, keep cats against snakes.
Cats are very sensitive animals. Although it is not big, it still has advantages in snake hunting. They have sharp claws and quick movements, and ordinary snakes are no match for cats at all. Of course, the cat here refers to the domestic pastoral cat, not the pet cat. Pet cats grow up eating cat food, not to mention snakes. Even its work is too lazy to catch mice.
Third, quicklime
Quicklime is widely used in rural areas. Quicklime before storing water in fish ponds can disinfect and reduce fish diseases. Sprinkle quicklime when washing wells, and the water quality will be safer. Sprinkling quicklime in front of and behind the house can also repel mosquitoes, insects and snakes.
Lime has such a wide range of uses, mainly because it reacts strongly with water and becomes hydrated lime. In this process, it will be sterilized, and at the same time, hydrated lime is very corrosive, so the snake will run far away when it meets lime water, otherwise it will corrode the skin.
Fourth, cigarette oil.
Tobacco oil is a common tobacco rod used by rural grandfathers in the past. The tar left behind after smoking is strictly nicotine. There is a folk saying that "smoke oil can cure all insects, and all insects are afraid of smoke oil". Some farmers who grow vegetables in the original ecology often use tobacco oil.
For example, there are bugs in vegetable fields. In the absence of pesticides, some farmers will soak cigarette butts in water and then water the land, which can also achieve the purpose of eliminating some pests in the soil. The strange smell of smoke oil is also feared by snakes, so spraying smoke oil before and after rural houses can also achieve the purpose of driving away snakes.
Five, plant snake prevention
There are many plants in nature that naturally annoy snakes, such as seven leaves and one flower, snake retrogression, barbell regression and so on. These plants are natural enemies of snakes. As can be seen from their names, if these plants are planted in front of and behind the house, snakes will avoid them when they smell these smells.
