1, breeding place

The scale of the farm can be large or small. However, every turtle farm must have a hatchery, a pond for young turtles, a pond for juvenile turtles and a pond for parent turtles. The hatching room should be full of sunlight and have a high temperature. The hatchling pond is used to raise the hatchlings of the year, usually 10-30 square meters, 0.5-0.8 meters deep. Juvenile ponds are used to rear second and third year juveniles, surrounded by a 0.4 meter high anti-escape wall. Parent pools can be small or large, generally not less than 500 square meters.

2, breeding environment

Turtle ponds should be built in sunny, quiet environment, sheltered from the wind and the sun, convenient drainage and irrigation of the pond as a base for aquaculture, not only the transportation is convenient, close to the power supply, and close to the water source and no pollution.

3, pre-stocking preparation

Pre-stocking with quicklime to thoroughly disinfect the turtle pond, stocking should be often a small amount of splash lime water or formalin solution. When stocking small turtle fry, they should be kept in separate pools according to their size to avoid the big turtle devouring the small turtle.
