What seasoning is not added to the beef stew?

Beef is one of many people’s favorite delicacies. My favorite way to cook beef at home is to stew it. Especially if you have a pressure cooker at home, it saves time and effort when stewing it, and it will become very soft in a short time. Who doesn’t love beef stew? It’s soft, tasty, and extremely fragrant.

When it comes to beef stew, I like to add 1 or 2 potatoes to it. The stewed potatoes are very soft and have a rich sauce, even more fragrant than beef stew.

Beef is very suitable for winter. It is delicious and nutritious, and you will never get tired of it no matter how you eat it. When I pass by the vegetable market every now and then, I like to buy some beef to take home for my family and children.

But friends, do you know? When stewing beef, these two seasonings cannot be added. They are star anise and Sichuan peppercorns. Otherwise, the pot of meat will be ruined, the taste will not be fresh and tender, and the smell will be quite strong. If you feel that the beef you stewed is not delicious, try it again without adding these two seasonings.

Beef stew

Ingredients required: beef, potatoes, tomatoes, onions and ginger, light soy sauce, salt, sugar, oyster sauce, cooking wine, dark soy sauce, bay leaves

< p>1. Prepare a piece of fresh beef, cut into small pieces, and then clean. For beef stew, I suggest you use beef brisket, which makes it more tender and can be eaten by the elderly and children.

2. After the beef is cut, it is time to blanch it in water. Add some ginger slices and some cooking wine to start cooking. Just cook it until the foam comes out. Don't cook it for too long, otherwise the taste will be bad. After the foam is cooked, take it out, rinse it and set aside.

3. Heat oil in a pan, add onion, ginger and bay leaves and stir-fry until fragrant, then add beef and continue to stir-fry. After stir-frying for a while, add light soy sauce, cooking wine, dark soy sauce, sugar and oyster sauce, and stir-fry. Stir-fry the beef evenly.

4. Put an appropriate amount of boiling water below and transfer it to a pressure cooker. If you don’t have a pressure cooker, an ordinary pot is also acceptable. It just takes a little longer to simmer to make it softer. After the water inside boils, we turn down the heat and continue to simmer for 1 hour.

5. During the stew time, we cut all the tomatoes and potatoes into pieces. After the beef is stewed, first put the tomatoes in and continue to stew for 10 minutes, then put the potatoes in and continue to stew. 20 minutes, then add salt to taste.

When stewing beef, star anise and Sichuan peppercorns cannot be added, otherwise the taste will be strange and the meat will be burnt.
