Shenzhen has nine municipal districts: Luohu District, Futian District, Nanshan District, Baoan District, Longgang District, Yantian District, Longhua District, Pingshan District, and Guangming District.

1. Futian District

Futian District is located in the center of Shenzhen. It is the administrative, financial, cultural, commercial and foreign exchange center of Shenzhen, covering an area of ??78.66 square kilometers.

2. Luohu District

Luohu District is one of the central urban areas of Shenzhen. The total area under its jurisdiction is 78.75 square kilometers, of which the built-up area is 34.74 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 10 streets and 83 community workstations.

3. Yantian District

Yantian District is located at the eastern gateway of Shenzhen, less than 12 kilometers away from the city center. It is backed by core cities in the Pearl River Delta such as Dongguan and Huizhou and has broad development opportunities. The hinterland has a total area of ??74.99 square kilometers.

4. Nanshan District

Nanshan District is located in the central and western part of Shenzhen. The administrative area borders Futian District to the east, Xingfu Village and Chiwei Village to the south, Bao'an District to the west, Yangtai Mountain, Shekou Port, Dachan Island and Neilingding Island to the north, Shenzhen Bay and Hong Kong's Yuen Long District to the southeast, and the Pearl River to the southwest. It borders Macau and Zhuhai. The area under its jurisdiction has a land area of ??187.53 square kilometers and a coastline of 43.7 kilometers.

5. Baoan District

Baoan District, located in the northwest of Shenzhen, is the core area of ??the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It borders Longhua District to the east, Nanshan District to the south, Lingdingyang to the west, Guangming District and Dongguan City to the north, with a land area of ??397 square kilometers.

6. Longgang District

Longgang District is located in the northeast of Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, bordering Daya Bay to the east, Huizhou City to the west, Longhua District of Shenzhen City to the south, and Luohu District and Yantian to the south. District, facing the New Territories of Hong Kong across Dapeng Bay, and bordering Huizhou City and Dongguan City to the north. 7. Longhua District

Longhua District is affiliated to Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province and is located in the geographical center of Shenzhen and the central axis of urban development. It is adjacent to the "Six Districts and One City", Dongguan City and Guangming District to the north, Longgang to the east, Futian, Luohu and Nanshan to the south, and Baoan to the west. The total area is 175.6 square kilometers.

8. Pingshan District

Pingshan is located in the northeast of Shenzhen, at the geographical center of the "3+2" economic circle of Shenzhen, Dongguan, Huizhou, Heyuan and Shanwei. It has been given the development positioning of "Shenzhen Eastern Central City, Shenzhen National High-tech Zone Core Park, and Shenzhen Future Industry Experimental Zone" by the municipal government. The total area under its jurisdiction is about 168 square kilometers and the total population is about 670,000.

9. Bright Area

Guangming District is located in the northwest of Shenzhen City, bordering Guanlan to the east, Songgang to the west, Shiyan to the south, and Dongguan to the north. The total area of ??Guangming District is 156.1 square kilometers.
