How to Make Pork and Onion Pie
Put the flour in a large bowl.
Add a spoonful of salt.
Slowly add warm water and mix well.
Knead into a smooth dough, cover and leave to rise for thirty minutes.
Add salt, chicken essence, soy sauce and black pepper to the pork stuffing, and add a little cold water in small portions.
Mix well in one direction until the meat mixture is strong.
Chop the purple onion.
Add to the pork mixture and mix well.
Knead the dough well and form a long strip.
Cut into equal sized dough pieces.
Sprinkle with dry flour and press down flat.
Roll out the dough and put in the filling.
Close it like a bun.
Face down the closed end and gently roll it with your hands to flatten it out.
Place a small amount of peanut oil in an electric pie pan (or a flat pan) and place the pie in the pan.
Shape one side of the pie and turn it over to cook the other side.
Fry until both sides are golden brown.
Out of the pan.
The pie tastes better when it is hot.
The pork and onion pie is delicious. If you can't eat it all at once, let it cool and refrigerate it, then heat it up and fry it through.
