Originally distributed in Hubei, Anhui, Zhejiang, and Fujian, it is less wild and widely cultivated in Shandong, Sichuan, Jiangxi, Hubei, Yunnan, southern Shaanxi, Henan and other places. Those produced in Henan and Hubei have the best quality and are sold throughout the country and exported. Anhui products are concentrated in Anqing, called Anchunhua, and the quality is inferior.
