Zagana, also known as Zagala, is located in Diebei County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. It is a small Tibetan village wrapped by beautiful cliffs with beautiful and magical scenery. It is one of the most beautiful places in Gannan Tibetan area.

The old wooden houses in the village are built on the hillside, and the locals work quietly and plainly between the hillside and the river, creating a wonderful idyllic scene. Zagana is located in the valley of Iwa Township, Diabe County. It is about 1 hour drive from Diabe County and 2 hours to Langmusi. Zagana is suitable for July and August. The grassland is green and beautiful at this time. Most tourists come from Langmusi when they take the Gannan-North Sichuan route. The regular time to visit is to arrive in the afternoon and take a leisurely stroll through the village to enjoy the scenery. Spend the night in a Tibetan lodging to capture the early morning clouds and leave after sunrise the next morning. There is also a two-day trekking route in the backcountry of Zagana. You can rent a horse in the village or go on foot.

The village of Zagana is divided into four small villages, from bottom to top, Dongwa, Kimyeelin, Dari and Tiba. Dongwa and Tiba villages are about 5 kilometers apart and a winding road connects the four villages. You can visit one by one on foot or by car to take photos. It takes about 1 hour to walk from the bottom to the top.

Driving from the entrance of the village, you will first arrive at the foot of the mountain at Dongwa village. There is a big stone called Dashimen, and the hillside next to Dashimen is a good place to take photos. Here you can enjoy the beautiful view of the village built on the mountain. The back of the village is wrapped by cliffs and on top of the village is a Tibetan Buddhist temple. The scenery is strange and beautiful. With a large population, Dongwa Village is also a good place to stay. You can stay in a farmhouse here and walk or drive to several villages on higher ground. The walk to the higher ground takes about an hour.

At the top of the hill along this road is the village of Kim Ye Rim. There is an open barley field next to Jinyelin village. You can often see Tibetans busy in the field. The scene is safe and simple. In addition, there is a house in Jinyelin Village where the famous traveler Joseph Rock used to stay for more than a year, but now he can only visit outside.

Forward, past the village of Dari, there is a viewpoint with a wide view, suitable for overlooking the whole village. You can see the whole village and the marvelous rock face behind it. All the houses are old wooden roofed and earthen walled buildings that look simple and serene, creating a beautiful picture wrapped in the cliff wall and a perfect place to take beautiful pictures. After panoramic shooting you can retreat and return to Dongwa village for overnight stay. There's not much to see in Tibba village, so you don't I don't have to go there.

Besides the afternoon shoot around, there is a lot to look forward to in Zagana. If you suggest camping here with a gas tank, you can also camp at Ocho Dam. The campus dam is below the stone house, and that's a very open area. But the water source is a pond in the grassy dam, which is not clean and has red threadworms in it. If you want to eat it, you must boil it or treat it with a water purifier before cooking. Campus Dam Green Haiko - Hana Haiko is about 3 hours walk. Haiko -; Teachers Dam takes about 3 hours to walk.

D3:Green Haizi - Pingba, elevation 2900m (about 5 hours walk, breakfast and lunch on your own, dinner group meal. Accommodation: tents) all the way upstream. Green Sea Sub is not suitable for camping as there is no flat land. You can camp at Dry Haiko before going to Green Haiko, but you can only get water from Green Haiko. It takes about 10 minutes round trip. The first half s of this day is easy with not much elevation gain, the second half is more strenuous. D4:Pingba-Gaoshanbao Village-Huya-Crystal-Pingwu-Jiangyou, 2070 meters above sea level (about 5 hours driving, you can have lunch at Moe Bibi Pingwu Halal Beef House, dinner on your own.
