I’m not sure which mountain in Lanxi can pick wild mushrooms, but Zhejiang is rich in wild mushroom species, such as rivet mushrooms and pine needle mushrooms. The rivet mushroom is also known as the pine mushroom, and in Jiangxi, it is also called the qiongrich mushroom. It has the following characteristics:
1. The fruiting body is small, about 2-6cm in diameter.
2. The fungus is hemispherical to nearly flat, sometimes slightly concave in the middle in later stages.
3. The color is pink or rose red to coral red, and it is shiny after drying.
4. The fungus meat is white and turns pink in the later stages, with a mild taste and thick meat in the middle.
5. The gills are sparse, extended, slightly thicker, slightly wider, bifurcated near the stalk, and are stained white to grayish brown or brown.
6. The stipe is nearly cylindrical, slightly thin at the base, 3-5cm long, 0.5-1cm thick, white at the top, pinkish-white below the middle, yellowish-brown at the base and yellow inside, solid inside.
If you want to pick wild mountain fungi, it is recommended to consult the local agricultural department or residents to learn about the conditions of nearby mountain forests and which fungi are likely to grow in which seasons. It is also recommended that picking activities be carried out under the accompaniment of professionals to avoid health problems caused by accidentally picking poisonous mushrooms.
