If you like soft lotus seeds, stew them for a few hours. They can be stewed with white fungus, glutinous rice, black rice and other eight-treasure porridge ingredients. You can put a soymilk machine in it and blend it with the beans to make soymilk. It is very nutritious.
You can also press it in a pressure cooker and add rock sugar and lard to make lotus paste (for filling). There are many ways to eat it, but in my family it is usually used to make drinks and desserts, stewed chicken and duck. Can it be added? Lotus seeds are a good supplement?
You don’t need to remove the skin of the lotus seeds, but you need to take out the core. The core is bitter (it’s the small sharp point in the middle). Soak two in water first. When it is small, it will be easier to remove the core, just peel it off and take it out.
If you like it beautiful, after soaking it, take a toothpick and poke it from the pointed end, and the lotus core will come out from the bottom.
Soak the lotus seeds (according to the amount you want) for about 5 minutes in advance, and then remove the heart of the lotus seeds, otherwise it will be very bitter when eaten.
Pour the red dates and wolfberries through the water, pick them up and set aside.
Soak the white fungus for 3 to 4 minutes, wash it, remove the stem, and tear it into pieces for later use.
Get ready some rock candy.
Then plug in the electric stew pot and preheat it for three to four minutes.
Pour in the pre-boiled hot water. (Pour in more than two-thirds of the boiling water.)
Then pour the lotus seeds into the electric stew pot.
And turn the electric saucepan to its highest setting.
Stew the lotus seeds for about 35 minutes. You will find that the lotus seeds have changed from wrinkled to swollen and plump, indicating that the lotus seeds are almost ripe.
Then pour in the white fungus. When stewing white fungus, you need to stir to avoid sticking to the pot.
After simmering the white fungus for about ten minutes, the soup becomes slightly yellow and slightly thick, and the white fungus is almost cooked. Pour in the rock sugar.
Pour in the rock sugar for about a minute and then pour in the red dates.
Stew the red dates for about 5 minutes, then add the wolfberries. Don't stew the red dates for too long as they will become too rotten and taste bad. 5 minutes is just right, and the red dates will still taste sweet when you eat them.
Add the wolfberry and turn off the heat after one minute. It is not suitable to stew the wolfberry for too long. If it is too rotten, the nutrients will be lost.
