Banqin shrimp mayfly (scientific name: Lysiosquillina maculata): is an animal of the phylum Arthropoda, class Mollusca, order Stomatopoda, family Acanthoidea, also known as the zebra-striped mantis shrimp and the striped mantis shrimp, and it is the largest shrimp mayfly. It resembles a centipede, with two pairs of tentacles, the first pair being longer and sickle-shaped, a pale gray body, and red tail joints. The big one is as long as a foot, produced in the shallow sea sandy bottom, can be caught all year round, spring is the peak season. Shrimp mayfly contains high protein and a variety of vitamins, nutritional value is very high. It has the functions of aphrodisiac, kidney tonic, blood circulation, and fluid production. The naturally strong front chelae of the Botrytis shrimp mayfly can be used to do anything that other shrimps can't. It is called the "mantis". They are called "mantis" shrimps because their appearance and predatory behavior are a perfect match for the mantis on land. They are carnivorous and prey on small invertebrates. These animals can make sounds by rubbing the ventral surface of the caudal segment with their tail limbs or by striking with a grazing limb. It is widely distributed, from East Africa to the Colon and Hawaiian Islands.
